Tommy moved to Hopewell, VA as a teenager, where he started working as a “shoeshine boy.” He worked and obtained his barbers license in 1963, working as a professional barber at the City Hall Barber Shop until 1974. He met the love of his life, Bonnie Edwards, who he affectionately called “hun” in 1965. They were married July 2, 1966 in Hopewell. Together they had three daughters: Lisa, Wendy, and April. We are certain he was joyfully welcomed in heaven by Bonnie and Lisa. Tommy had a special bond with his two son in laws, Timmy and Brent.
After Bonnie’s passing, Tommy enjoyed going on adventures frequently with his children. He loved the outdoors where his many hobbies included fishing, gardening, woodwork, restoring old tractors and cars, and most recently trail riding in the mountains on his RZR.
