Shawn Everett Dailey

Shawn Everett Dailey of Hopewell, VA passed away suddenly on November 12, 2023. He was born on August 23, 1978 in Hopewell, VA where he grew up playing soccer. After graduating from Hopewell High School, class of 1996, where he was in the Marching Band and the ROTC Program, he signed up to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. Attending bootcamp at Paris Island, SC; then on to Twentynine Palms, CA; Okinawa, Japan and spending his last years of his service in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Shawn is preceded in death by his father Donald D. Dailey. Shawn is survived by his “Muma” Karen S. Pollard, his brother Joshua G. Shackelford (Russlyn), his sister Jessica Griffin (Mike & Caitlin). Shawn leaves behind a lot of friends, Marine Corp buddies, and family, including two special longtime friends’ Brian Leblanc (family) and David Solesbee, Shawn also sadly leaves behind his beloved show dog Jacx, the love of his life.

There will be a Military service at the Amelia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Court House, VA 23002, PROMPTLY @ 3:00 PM December 11th, 2023.
