He was born on January 4, 1959, in Richmond, Virginia. Robert, known for his dedication, hard work, dependability, and caring nature, will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Martin, his daughters Janice Bragg and Tiffany Martin, his brother Stuart Martin, his sisters Joan Throckmorton and Patricia Losey, his brother James Martin, and numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Martin, and his mother, Sarah Ingram.
After graduating from Highland Springs High School, Robert furthered his education at Devry University. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1976 to 1979.
Following his military service, Robert embarked on a successful career. He was an Army Veteran and the owner of Tab Enterprises, where he worked as a tax accountant. Robert also worked as a driver for O'Reilly Auto Parts.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments and was an active member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles. He had a passion for karaoke and was known for his enthusiastic singing. Robert also served as a sports coach and was a devoted fan of the Washington Redskins.
A ceremony to honor Robert's life will take place on November 13, 2023 at 3:00pm, at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, located at 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Courthouse, Virginia 23002.
The Virginia Cremation Society of Virginia, located in Richmond, Virginia, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
