OBITUARY
Jerry Lee Pugh
March 21, 1931 – March 15, 2023

Jerry Lee Pugh, 91, of Richmond, passed away on March 15, 2023. He was born in Richmond on March 21, 1931. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Murray Pugh and his parents James Andrew Pugh and Corinna Johnson Pugh.
He is survived by his daughters, Jerryetta Gerloff (Bill), Cheryl Cacciotti (Robert), Melanie Jasinkiewicz (Brian), Kelly Griffith (Tom), 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Jerry attended Benedictine High School where he was voted Richmond’s Most Valuable Football Player in 1949 and was awarded a football scholarship to University of Richmond. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Conflict Infantry Badge. Mr. Pugh retired from C&P Telephone Company after 38 years of service.
He previously served as Post Commander of American Legion Post 186, Past President of Manchester Shrine Lodge #14 and Past Major ACCA Shrine Provost Guard. He loved to hunt and fish and to play sports.
Mr. Pugh was a long time member of Bethany Christian Church, 5400 Forest Hill Avenue, Richmond, VA 23225 where a service will be held on Tuesday, March 21 at 11 a.m. with a reception after.
