Charles (“Charlie”) Philip Cohill, 73, of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Agnes Browne Cohill; father, James Andrew Cohill; brothers, Robert Cohill and William Cohill; and sisters, Mary Helen Horn and Catherine Gallagher. He was survived by his wife, Martha Yeatman-Cohill; sons, C. Ryan Cohill (Amanda), Timothy B. Cohill (Steffanie); stepsons Kyle Yeatman (Ami Williams) , and Chris Yeatman (Jennifer “Jenn”); grandchildren, Reed Yeatman, Harper Cohill, Aubrey Cohill, Logan Cohill, and Wyatt Cohill; brothers, James Cohill, Stephen Cohill, Benjamin Cohill, and Patrick Cohill; and sisters, Regina Miller, Agnes Martin, and Marquerite Branch; and his many nieces and nephews.
Charlie received a bachelor’s degree in political science from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He pursued a lifelong and successful career in sales until his retirement. Charlie was devoted to his large family and would do anything for them. A talented athlete, he enjoyed playing and watching baseball, basketball, and golf. He also was a dedicated baseball and soccer coach and took up dancing later in life. Charlie will be remembered for his charming and fun-loving personality that brought joy to those around him.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00- 3:00 followed by a celebration of life from 3:00- 4:00 pm on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Brandermill Country Club, 3700 Brandermill Pkwy, Midlothian, VA 23112.
