She was the wife of Roger L. Baker. They shared 51 years of marriage together.
Born in Petersburg, Virginia, she is the daughter of Harry B. Brown Jr. and Julia Mae Howard Brown.
Ann attended nursing school for 2 years. She devoted her life to her family and children.
She volunteered for 10 years for the John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell where she served as a patient escort, gift shop manager, and vice president of the Volunteer Board.
She also loved music, and played the clarinet, piano, and harp. She was also a talented quilter and painter of both watercolors and acrylics. She loved spending time with family and friends for many years at Myrtle Beach as well as the Outer Banks.
She is survived by her husband; Roger L. Baker, her children; Christopher L. Baker, his wife Clarinda L. Baker, and Sara K. Baker Dry, her grandchildren; Alexandra K. Dry, Olivia M. Dry, and Steven L. Baker, her siblings; Paul H. Brown, his wife Marilyn S. Brown, Harry B. Brown III, his wife Lynda D. Brown, Mary R. Brown, Martha J. Brown, her husband Hugh A. George and Margaret L. Brown, sister-in-law; Phyllis Baker Hastings and her very special friend; Carol Hendrix.
A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Three Chopt Road Church of Christ: 9500 Three Chopt Road, Henrico, VA 23229. Light refreshments will be served after the service.
