I was running out of stamps.  Found about 40 one cent stamps.  Needed to get the letter out pronto.  Had to break down and put the stamps on the envelope.  The entire envelope was covered.  When Mom saw it, she immediately transported into a female mail clerk who said,  "Hey boss, I am going to need about six hours overtime to count these stamps!!"

I was upstairs in my office (moved into Mom's house to care for her) when I heard a noise behind me.  I turned around and saw Mom lying at the top of the stairs with her head at the bottom of the door.  How Mom got up there was a mystery to me because she could barely walk, but she managed to crawl up those high stairs without falling.
Mom was so happy and had the biggest smile as I rarely saw her in her later years.  Mom was waving her hand like crazy!!!!  I of course jumped up and helped Mom back down the stairs.

Mom was incredibly proud of having made it to the top of the stairs.  How Mom did it I do not know as she could barely walk.

About a year before, Mom had started falling.  I was driving by and decided to go into the house.  I heard her yelling for help.  Mom said that she had fallen down the basement stairs five times.  After helping Mom up the stairs, I locked the basement door and kept checking to make sure that it was locked.

I remember when Mom gave me a knit hat with a ball on top.  I was upstairs and Mom was in the living room.  I cut the ball off and walked into the living room.  With great pride and joy, Mom pointed at me and shouted, "I KNEW you were going to cut that ball off."  Mom was so proud that she knew me that well.

Chase, I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mother.  I know she must have been a special person because she raised a very dedicated and caring team member.  Fondly, Gina
