Eileen Elana Walborn

Eileen Keefe Walborn, age 73, born 25 January 1950, passed away on Tuesday, 16 May 2023 after battling Leukemia. Eileen retired from Quest Diagnostics in 2020. Eileen worked in the medical field her entire career, however her favorite job was working as a medical transcriptionist at University of Alabama at Birmingham for “Dr. D”, Dr. Daniel. Eileen also worked for the Dionne Warwick Psychic Hotline in the 1990’s. Eileen was married a few times in her life, however she met her last, but best husband, Robert Walborn in 1995 and were married for 24 years, until his passing. Eileen had a spirit for life, never gave up on love and happiness, and always wanted the best for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eileen loved to read, music, walks in nature, and talking. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Randie Simmons (Reggie) and son Rene Sotolongo; best friend of 27 years, Nina Meyer; sister Nora Dagg (Jim); granddaughters Alexis Sotolongo and Lydia Sotolongo, Heather Alford (Kanyon); great granddaughter Raelynn and great grandson Spencer; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John “Jack” Keefe and Helen Grist Bragaw Keefe; husband, Robert Walborn; and sisters Helen E. Mullis and Anne Speakman; nieces Jody Mullis and Kelly Speakman.
