Rebecca Goodwin Boykin, age 87, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, after a brief stay in hospice in northern Virginia.
Becky was born in Chatham County, North Carolina on May 15, 1937 to the late Charlie Newton Goodwin and Margaret Marks Goodwin. Raised in Durham NC, she was preceded in death by her brother Charles Goodwin, sisters Jean Weisner, Frances Riley, Ruby Green, and Betty McBroom.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Carlisle F. Boykin, Jr., 2 sons, 3 grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
She loved her family and friends with a fierce, eternal love.
